A 12 MP mini dome captures a full 360° panoramic view with built-in IR LEDs and on-board deep learning analytics
The Axis Communications M4318-PLVE is a 12 megapixel mini dome that delivers a complete 180° or 360° overview with a stereographic lens and Sharpdome 360 technology. It features built-in IR illumination with individually controllable LEDs for clear footage in total darkness. A deep learning processing unit supports advanced analytics on the edge. The camera is outdoor-ready and includes digital roll for simplified installation.
This camera suits installers who need a single device to cover large open spaces such as retail floors, intersections or parking areas without blind spots. The deep learning processing unit enables object classification and counting directly on the camera. Sites that require multiple narrow fields of view, long-range optical zoom or thermal imaging should look at different form factors.
The 12 MP sensor captures overview resolutions up to 2992x2992 and panorama resolutions up to 3840x2160, providing detailed situational awareness across the full 182° horizontal and vertical field of view. Local storage is handled via a microSDXC card slot while network-attached storage offers scalable recording capacity. The fixed 1.2 mm focal length and lack of optical zoom limit the ability to identify distant details.
