Axis Q1971-E thermal network camera

The Axis Q1971-E is a thermal IP camera built for perimeter protection and remote surveillance in any weather or lighting condition. Its halogen-free housing and thermal detection let operators verify threats even in low-contrast scenes. Five lens alternatives allow the field of view to be matched to the specific site requirements.

Wired connectivity and DC power limits

The camera uses a wired network connection and a DC power source, so cable runs and power infrastructure must be planned for each installation point. Video resolution reaches up to 768 x 576, which defines the detail level available for analytics and verification. These fixed interface and resolution parameters set the practical boundary for system design.

Thermal detection with AI analytics

The defining capability is thermal detection combined on-board AI analytics that enable proactive surveillance without visible light. Axis Edge Vault provides FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified key storage to safeguard the device. Buyers who need optical imaging or higher pixel counts should evaluate alternative camera types.
