Over-tightening can strip the shallow female threads, and the fixed 90° angle cannot be adjusted after installation. Plan the routing before you commit.

Installation notes and common issues

Hand-tighten each side until the o-ring seats, then add a slight turn with a soft-jaw wrench — metal tools mar the anodised finish. The short body leaves little leverage, so gripping the flats carefully prevents rounding. A frequent mistake is forgetting to chamfer the tubing cut, which makes the male fitting hard to start and risks cross-threading the adaptor. Flush the loop before final torque to avoid debris in the bend.
