Purpose-built security

The Barska AX12674 is a steel fire-resistant safe rated at 3.45 cubic feet, designed for home or office owners who need to protect documents and valuables from fire. It measures 30 inches high, 20 inches wide and 20 inches deep, weighing 169 pounds, and features a carpeted floor plus adjustable shelving for organised storage.

Fire rating and lock

The single specification that decides suitability is the fire-resistant construction using steel and gypsumboard without an ETL listing, combined with an electronic keypad lock driving three dead bolts. Buyers who require a certified fire rating or a mechanical dial lock will need a different model.

Capacity and limits

The interior provides 27 inches of height, 17 inches of width and 13 inches of depth, comfortably fitting letter-size file boxes, binders and small electronics. It runs out when storing oversize items such as long rifles, large-format artwork or bulky media collections that exceed the 3.45 cubic feet volume.
