6-Inch Y Splitter Cable

The Belkin F8V234 is a 6-inch stereo cable that splits one 2.5mm male mini-phone jack into two 2.5mm female mini-phone ports. It lets two listeners connect headphones or speakers to a single audio source such as a portable player. The short black cable keeps the setup tidy and portable for on-the-go use.

Splitter for Shared Listening

This cable suits anyone who wants two people to hear the same device through separate headphones or a pair of mini-stereo speakers. It does not serve users needing a 3.5mm connection or a longer reach between the source and the listeners. Buyers requiring more than two outputs should look at a different splitter design.

2.5mm Mini-Phone Connectors

The decisive specification is the 2.5mm mini-phone interface: one male plug and two female sockets. Your source device and both headphones or speakers must use 2.5mm jacks, or you will need adapters that are not included. Confirm the jack size on all equipment before purchasing.

Questions about this item

What does the 6 inch length mean once the splitter is plugged in?

The 6 inch cable gives a short reach between the source jack and the two female ports, keeping headphone cables tidy on a desk or in a bag.

What does the 2.5 mm mini‑phone male connector cap in practice?

The 2.5 mm male plug fits older portable players and some headsets, limiting use to devices with that specific jack size.

What does the Y‑splitter physically need to fit or mount?

It needs a single 2.5 mm stereo socket on the source device and accepts two 2.5 mm stereo plugs from headphones or speakers.
