What this splitter does

The Belkin F8V234-WHT is a 3.5 mm audio splitter that lets two pairs of headphones or two mini-stereo speakers share a single 3.5 mm output. It is intended for listeners who want to share audio from a portable player, phone, tablet or laptop without needing a second source device.

Check your jack before ordering

Verify that the source device provides a standard 3.5 mm stereo output jack; the splitter’s male plug inserts directly into that port. The two female sockets accept standard 3.5 mm stereo plugs, so confirm your headphones or speakers use the same connector size. No drivers or power are required for operation.

Passive design means no heat or noise

Because the unit is a passive analogue splitter with no active electronics, it generates no measurable heat and adds no audible noise to the signal path. Power draw is zero, as the splitter draws nothing from the source device. The lightweight construction at .1 keeps cable strain minimal during normal use.

Questions about this item

What connectors are on the splitter and do I need any extra cables?

The splitter has a 3.5mm male input and two 3.5mm female outputs. Your headphones or speakers plug directly into the outputs, so no extra cables are required.

Is there a version with more outputs or a different plug size?

This model F8V234-WHT provides exactly two 3.5mm female ports from a single 3.5mm male plug. No other configurations are offered for this part number.

Will audio quality drop when two headphones are plugged in at once?

The splitter passes the stereo signal to both outputs simultaneously. Each connected headphone or speaker receives the same signal level as a single direct connection.
