What this cable does

The BENFEI SATA III cable connects motherboards or host controllers to internal Serial ATA hard drives, SSDs and optical drives. Each pack contains three 18-inch cables with 90-degree right-angle connectors and locking latches. They support the SATA 3.0 standard at up to 6 Gbps and are backward compatible with earlier SATA revisions. The cables carry data only and do not supply power to the attached drive.

Check your system before ordering

Verify that your motherboard or controller has standard SATA data ports and that the drives you intend to connect use the same interface. The 90-degree connector orientation may be required where straight plugs would foul adjacent components or cables. Ensure a separate SATA power connector from the power supply is available for each drive because this cable provides data transfer only. Confirm the 18-inch length reaches between your port and drive mounting points.

Thermals noise and power

These passive copper cables generate no heat and produce no audible noise during operation. They draw no power themselves; the host controller and drive handle all electrical requirements. The locking latch on each end maintains a secure connection without adding resistance or signal loss. Normal use inside a typical chassis presents no thermal or acoustic concerns.
