Product identity

Bluecctv BL-DO9881VF-B2812 is an analog dome camera with a 1/3" Sony Super HAD II CCD that delivers 650 TV lines from 976 (H) x 508 (V) effective pixels. The 2.8 ~ 12mm vari-focal lens allows the viewing angle to be adjusted on site. It runs on 12V DC and fits a black dome housing.

Who this suits and who it does not

Installers who need a manually adjustable field of view for a single fixed mounting point will benefit from the vari-focal range. Buyers who require motorised zoom control, higher resolution output, or an outdoor-rated housing with IR illumination should look at other models.

Deciding specification

The 650 TV line resolution combined with 0.1 lux day and 0.01 lux night sensitivity at F1.2 determines whether the camera matches the recording capability of the existing DVR and the lighting conditions on site.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2.8 mm or 12 mm end of the vari-focal range?

The lens adjusts continuously from 2.8 mm to 12 mm so you can set the exact field of view during installation; choose wider for large areas, narrower for distant detail.

What does 650 TV Lines deliver on a monitor?

650 TV Lines from the 1/3" Sony Super HAD II CCD gives clear analogue detail at 976 x 508 effective pixels for standard DVR recording.

Does the 12 V DC input limit cable distance?

12 V DC power is standard for analogue CCTV; voltage drop over long runs can be managed with thicker cable or a local supply.
