Product type and intended use

The Bluecctv BL-DO9952VF-W-2812 is a 700 TVL analog dome camera designed for CCTV surveillance systems. It captures video at 811 (H) x 508 (V) effective pixels using a 1/3" Sony Super HAD II CCD sensor. The vari-focal lens adjusts from 2.8 to 12mm to suit different viewing angles. This camera suits installers needing a WDR dome for standard definition monitoring.

Compatibility checks before ordering

Your recorder must accept analog CVBS input over coaxial cable with BNC connectors. The camera requires a 12V DC power supply; verify your power distribution unit can deliver this voltage. The white dome housing is intended for indoor or sheltered outdoor mounting; check that the installation surface can support the bracket. An on-screen display menu is available for local configuration adjustments.

Thermals, noise and power in normal use

The unit operates silently with no moving parts or internal fans. Power draw is limited to the 12V DC input required by the CCD sensor and lens drive circuitry. The metal base helps dissipate heat during continuous operation. Super low lux performance of 0.6 / 0.003 Lux in color mode and more than 60dB signal-to-noise ratio ensure stable imaging without thermal throttling.

Questions about this item

Does the BL-DO9952VF-W-2812 include a power supply or must I buy a 12V DC adapter separately?

The camera requires a 12V DC supply; no power adapter is included in the box so you will need to source one separately.

Should I choose the 2.8mm wide end or the 12mm narrow end of the vari-focal lens for my installation?

Adjust the 2.8–12mm lens on site: 2.8mm gives a wide overview, 12mm narrows the view for distant detail; pick the setting that matches the scene.

What does the 700 TV Lines resolution mean when the camera is connected to a standard DVR?

700 TV Lines indicates high horizontal detail for an analog signal; the DVR will record at up to 811 x 508 effective pixels from the 1/3″ Sony Super HAD II CCD.
