An HD-SDI eyeball dome camera capturing 1080p video through a 4.3 mm lens with 25 IR LEDs for 0 lux night vision in an IP67 housing
The Eyemax XIB-2022-B is a wired HD-SDI dome camera that captures 1080p video at two megapixels through a 4.3 mm fixed lens. It suits installers who need a straightforward analog solution for outdoor or indoor surveillance without network configuration. Buyers who require IP connectivity, motorised varifocal optics or onboard analytics should look elsewhere.
The camera runs on 12 V DC power supplied separately and draws minimal current in normal operation. Its sealed IP67 housing passively dissipates heat without fans, so acoustic output is effectively zero. Twenty-five smart IR LEDs activate automatically in darkness, providing illumination while the ICR filter switches for true day-and-night imaging. Digital noise reduction keeps the signal clean at standard frame rates.
During continuous recording the fixed 4.3 mm lens maintains a constant field of view and the IR array holds steady output for 0 lux scenes. The upgraded water-resistant enclosure preserves ingress protection over long deployments. HD-SDI transmission over RG59 or RG6 with crimp connectors delivers stable 1080p or 720p streams without the compression artefacts or latency spikes seen on IP links under heavy traffic.

Connect the camera to a DC 12 V power supply and run RG59 or RG6 coaxial cable with crimp or compression connectors; the step people get wrong is using push-on BNC plugs or thin cable which causes signal loss at 1080p.
The IP67 housing is sealed, so routine care is limited to wiping the dome clean and checking that the 25 IR LEDs are not obstructed by spider webs or dust; no internal servicing is required.
The 25 IR LEDs provide illumination only while the ICR filter is engaged; once the scene exceeds their effective range the image drops to 0 lux performance and detail is lost.
