Connects four SFF-8482 SAS drives with power to one SFF-8087 controller at 6 Gbps per channel over a one-metre copper cable
This BUCIER cable joins four SFF-8482 SAS drives to a single SFF-8087 controller port. Each branch carries both data and power through a single 39.37 inch assembly. Copper conductors support 6Gbps per channel. The male-to-male design fits straight into backplanes and host adapters without adapters.
Installers populating hot-swap bays or direct-attached storage shelves will find the four-drive fan-out convenient. Builders whose backplanes use different SAS connector types, or who need external bulkhead connections, cannot use this assembly. The fixed one-metre length also limits routing options in larger chassis.
The defining specification is the four SFF-8482 connectors, each delivering data and SATA power from one SFF-8087 link. This lets a single controller lane serve four drives without separate power cables. Verify that your backplane accepts SFF-8482 plugs before ordering.

Plug the single SFF-8087 male connector straight into the controller port until the latch clicks; the step people miss is seating all four SFF-8482 drive ends firmly so each data and power lane engages.
No scheduled maintenance is required; if a SFF-8482 connector becomes loose or a latch breaks, replace the whole assembly because the copper conductors and moulded ends are not user-serviceable.
The shared SFF-8087 uplink aggregates four 6Gbps channels, so controller or backplane bandwidth becomes the bottleneck before the cable’s own copper conductors saturate.
