Tapered tarp mounting brackets

These brackets are designed for contractors and fleet operators who need to attach a tarp crank to dump bodies with tapered cab shields. They fit Crysteel or Rugby type dump bodies and work with DTR1 manual dump tarp systems. The hardware provides a direct mounting point for secure tarp operation.

Corrosion-resistant powder-coated finish

The black powder-coated finish protects the steel brackets from road salt, moisture and debris encountered during daily hauling. This coating maintains its integrity through repeated exposure to the elements without flaking or rusting prematurely. The brackets retain their structural strength throughout the operating life of the dump body.

Direct-fit installation for specific body types

Installation is straightforward when the dump body matches the Crysteel or Rugby tapered cab shield profile. The brackets bolt directly to the existing structure without drilling or fabrication. They will not align with flat cab shields, aluminum bodies or other manufacturers' tapered profiles, so verifying the body type before ordering avoids fitment issues.

Questions about this item

Will the powder-coated finish handle constant vibration and heat from the dump body without rattling loose?

The corrosion-resistant black powder-coated finish is designed for trailer and plow equipment, so it resists vibration and heat on dump bodies without rattling loose.

Do I need a DTR1 Manual Dump Tarp System already installed to use these brackets?

Yes, the brackets are made specifically for DTR1 Manual Dump Tarp Systems, so that system must be in place before installation.

Can I fit these to an older Crysteel dump body that has a tapered cab shield?

The brackets are available for Crysteel or Rugby type dump bodies and are built for tapered cab shields, so they will bolt to an older Crysteel unit with that shield style.
