4-Way RCA Stereo Audio Switcher

The BYTECC passive selector lets you route up to four stereo sources to one pair of speakers, or send one source to four speaker pairs, using only RCA cables and a front-panel knob. No power supply or software is required, so the unit works instantly with CD players, Blu-ray decks, DVD units, amplifiers or active speakers.

Check RCA cabling and switching needs

Verify that every device you want to connect uses standard RCA left/right outputs or inputs, because the box provides only RCA sockets. Confirm you only need one active output at a time; the selector does not split a signal to multiple outputs simultaneously. Ensure you have enough RCA patch cables for each source and destination you plan to use.

All-metal chassis and passive operation

The steel enclosure adds durability and shields the signal path without any active electronics, so there is no attenuation or noise from a power adapter. Because the switch is purely mechanical, it eliminates the wear caused by repeatedly plugging and unplugging RCA cables at the back of your equipment. The package contains the selector box only.

Questions about this item

What cables come with the BYTECC 4-way stereo audio selector and what must I buy separately?

The selector ships alone; you supply all RCA cables to connect up to four source devices or four speaker sets.

Should I choose the 4-in-1-out or the 1-in-4-out wiring for my system?

Use 4-in-1-out when you have several Blu-ray or DVD players feeding one stereo; use 1-in-4-out when one source drives up to four speaker pairs.

What does the passive, no-attenuation design mean once the box is in my rack?

No power supply is needed and the front-panel knob routes the selected left/right pair without signal loss, so only one output plays at a time.
