10GBASE-T headroom and distance limits

At 500MHz the cable supports 10Gbps up to the full 100-metre Cat6a channel, so the 100-foot length leaves margin for patch-panel and equipment cords. Performance holds for typical PoE injector, switch, router, NAS and console links. Runs that exceed the channel budget or that require shielded cable for noisy environments fall outside this cable's design. Installers needing outdoor or plenum ratings should select a different jacket type.

Bare copper, cross-spline core and snagless boots

Four twisted pairs of 24AWG stranded bare copper surround a 6.9mm cross-spline to control crosstalk over long pulls. Each RJ45 connector carries 50-micron gold-plated contacts and a molded snagless boot that protects the latch during routing through cable trays or tight corners. The UTP construction keeps the cable flexible for corner bends but offers no foil or braid shield against strong EMI sources.
