Indoor-Rated SJT Jacket For Fixed Installations

The SJT jacket is rated for indoor environments such as offices, labs, workshops and homes; it is not suitable for wet or outdoor locations where an SJTW jacket would be required. The male plug inserts into any standard three-prong receptacle while the female end accepts the device’s original power cord, freeing the builder from repositioning furniture or equipment to reach a distant outlet. No additional adapters or converters are needed for typical desktop, monitor or peripheral connections.

Passive Cable With No Active Cooling Or Power Draw

As a passive copper extension, the cord generates no heat of its own and adds no audible noise to the system; thermal performance depends entirely on the connected load staying within the 13 A rating. The 16 AWG conductors are sized for continuous 13 A service, so voltage drop over the three-foot length remains minimal for computers and similar 125 V equipment.
