IEC C20 to C19 extension cord

This 7 ft blue power extension cord connects a male IEC 60320 C20 plug to a female C19 socket, adding reach between a rack PDU, UPS or server and your existing cord without an adapter. It is built with heavy duty 12 AWG, 20A / 250V three-conductor copper inside an SJT jacket rated 105C and 300V. The cord is UL Listed, CSA certified (file E210037) and RoHS compliant for data-centre and server-rack use.

Check your existing connection

Verify that your power source presents a C20 inlet and that the device cord terminates in a C19 plug; this cord only extends a C20-to-C19 link and will not mate with C13, C14, NEMA 5-15 or other connector types. Confirm the load does not exceed 20A at 250V and that the 7 ft length reaches your rack layout without strain. The blue jacket aids circuit tracing, so plan colour-coding before installation.

Integrating into a rack build

The cord slots between a PDU or UPS outlet and your server, switch or AV gear power cable, freeing the original cord from tension and allowing flexible equipment placement. Its 12 AWG gauge supports heavy-duty 20A loads where 18 AWG (10A), 16 AWG (13A) or 14 AWG (15A) cords would be undersized. No extra adapters or tools are required; simply plug the male C20 into the source and the female C19 into your device cord.

Questions about this item

Does the cord ship with both the male C20 plug and female C19 socket already attached, or do I need to buy a separate connector?

The cable arrives ready to use with a male IEC 60320 C20 plug on one end and a female C19 socket on the other; no extra connector is required.

Why choose the 12 AWG 20A version instead of a thinner gauge for my rack PDU?

12 AWG copper is rated for 20A at 250V, matching heavy-duty 20A equipment, while 18 AWG handles only 10A, 16 AWG 13A and 14 AWG 15A.

Will the 20A 250V rating hold up when the cord runs inside a hot server rack?

The SJT jacket is rated 105C and 300V, so the 20A 250V capacity remains valid at typical rack temperatures.
