Cell Drive 4 GB Backup Power USB 2.0 Data Adapter

SKU CH-C463-FZ68V

A USB 2.0 adapter that adds 4 GB storage, data sync and backup power for mobile devices

  • 4 GB internal storage keeps files with you
  • USB 2.0 sync transfers media to a computer
  • Rechargeable battery gives over one hour talk time
  • Charges phones via standard 3.5 mm adapter
  • Combines power, data and storage in one adapter

What the Cell Drive 4 GB adapter does

This pocket-sized adapter combines a 4 GB flash drive, a rechargeable backup battery and a USB 2.0 data link in one unit. It is aimed at anyone who wants to charge a phone, sync media with a computer and carry files without juggling separate cables, power banks or memory sticks.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The device draws power from a standard USB 2.0 port to recharge its internal battery and to operate the flash storage. No active cooling is present, so operation is silent and the unit stays at ambient temperature during typical file transfers or phone charging sessions.

Behaviour under sustained load

During continuous talk-time backup the manufacturer states the battery delivers over one hour of power before depletion. Extended data transfers or repeated charge cycles will run until the stored energy is exhausted, after which the adapter must be reconnected to a USB source to recharge.

Questions about this item

How do I plug the Cell Drive into my phone and computer so it actually charges and syncs?

Connect the mini-USB output to the phone, then plug the USB 2.0 end into the computer; the unit draws power to recharge its internal battery while syncing media through the provider's or third-party software.

Which part of the Cell Drive will wear out first and need replacing?

The rechargeable backup battery degrades with charge cycles; once it no longer holds enough energy for an hour of talk time the whole adapter must be replaced because the battery is not user-serviceable.

What stops the Cell Drive from keeping my phone powered during a long call?

The internal battery is rated for over one hour of continuous talk time; after that limit the adapter can no longer supply backup power until it is recharged via USB.
