Dell Sanblade 8 Gb Dual-Port FC HBA

The Dell 6T94G Sanblade is an 8 Gb dual-port Fibre Channel host bus adapter that installs in a PCIe x8 slot and ships with a standard bracket. It provides two fibre connections for storage-area-network links and is sold as a refurbished card only.

Suited for refurbished-fibre-channel upgrades

This card fits administrators adding or replacing 8 Gb dual-port connectivity in servers that accept a full-height bracket. It does not suit buyers who need a low-profile bracket, higher link speeds, single-port variants, or a new unit with a complete accessory kit.

Questions about this item

Will the 8 Gb dual-port Fibre Channel adapter work with my existing 4 Gb SAN fabric?

The card auto-negotiates down to 4 Gb and 2 Gb link speeds so it will interoperate with older switches and storage arrays without configuration changes.

How can I confirm both ports are online after installing the card?

Check the port-status LEDs on the bracket — steady green indicates an active 8 Gb link, amber shows a negotiated lower speed, and the host OS should list two FC initiators.
