15.6 inch FHD Touchscreen Laptop

The Dell Inspiron 15 3520 is a 15.6 inch Full HD touchscreen laptop powered by an 11th Generation Intel Core i5-1155G7 quad-core processor. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 3200 memory and a 512 GB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed. The chassis weighs 3.65 lb and measures 14.11 x 9.27 x 0.83 inches.

Suited For And Not Suited For

This laptop suits office workers and students who need a responsive touchscreen, a full-size keyboard with numeric keypad, and enough memory for heavy multitasking out of the box. Buyers who need discrete graphics for gaming or 3D rendering should look elsewhere. The 220 nit LED panel may not satisfy users who require high brightness for outdoor work. The 41 Whr battery limits unplugged runtime for all-day mobile use.

Deciding Specification

The factory-installed 32 GB DDR4 3200 memory reaches the platform maximum of 32 GB, so no further RAM upgrades are possible. If your workflow demands more than 32 GB of system memory, this model cannot accommodate it. The 512 GB PCIe SSD provides fast storage, but capacity is fixed unless you replace the drive.

Questions about this item

How do I upgrade the RAM on this Inspiron 15 3520 and what mistake should I avoid?

Which component will need replacement first on this model?

The 41 WHr 3-cell lithium-ion battery will degrade over time and is the part most likely to require replacement after extended daily use.

What thermal limit appears first during sustained heavy workloads on the i5-1155G7?

The processor can reach up to 4.5 GHz, but prolonged loads will hit the cooling system's capacity, causing the CPU to throttle below its maximum turbo frequency.
