Business 2-in-1 with detachable keyboard

The Latitude 5290 is a 12.5 inch detachable laptop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor running at 1.9 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of onboard DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe M.2 SSD. A 1920 x 1080 IPS touchscreen, Intel HD Graphics 620 and Windows 10 Pro complete the configuration.

Upgrade from older ultraportables

Moving from a dual-core ultrabook or a traditional clamshell without pen support makes sense when you need tablet flexibility and a quad-core CPU for multitasking. The jump is worth it if your workflow benefits from the detachable form factor, the included stylus and the two USB Type-C ports with DisplayPort and Thunderbolt capability.

Suits mobile professionals who need pen input

This unit fits consultants, field staff and managers who annotate documents on the move and value a sub-4 lb chassis with a 65 W charger. Buyers who require discrete graphics, user-replaceable memory, larger screens or legacy USB-A ports beyond the single 3.0 connector should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the 12.5 inch tablet section so I can choose a sleeve?

The tablet measures 12 x 8.3 x 0.7 inches and weighs under 4 lbs.

How do I attach the detachable travel keyboard and which port charges the 65 watt adapter?

The keyboard connects magnetically to the bottom edge; the 65 watt AC adapter plugs into one of the two USB Type-C ports.

Can the 16 GB DDR4 memory or 512 GB NVMe M.2 SSD be upgraded later?

Memory is onboard with zero slots so it cannot be increased; the M.2 SSD can be replaced with another NVMe drive.
