Rugged 14-inch touchscreen laptop

This Dell Latitude 5420 Rugged is a new 14.0-inch FHD touchscreen laptop built for field work. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i7-8650U processor with 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. The chassis meets rugged durability standards for harsh environments. It includes HDMI, USB 3.0 Type A and Type C ports plus optional LTE connectivity.

Mobile professionals needing drop

The rugged design suits first responders, utility crews and field engineers who work outdoors or in vehicles. Buyers who want a thin ultrabook for office-only use should look at something else. The 4.9lb weight and 1.29-inch thickness make it heavier than standard business notebooks. Users needing discrete graphics for 3D rendering will not find that capability here.

16GB soldered memory capacity

The system ships with 16GB of RAM which cannot be upgraded after purchase. This amount supports typical business multitasking and remote management tools. Buyers who anticipate running heavy virtual machines or large datasets should verify this limit meets their needs. The 256GB removable PCIe SSD can be swapped for more storage if required.
