Core i5 laptop for heavy multitasking

The Dell Latitude 5520 pairs an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1145G7 four-core processor with 64GB of memory and a 2TB SSD. It is built for professionals who run many applications at once and need fast local storage. Windows 10 Pro is preinstalled for immediate productivity.

64GB RAM and 2TB SSD headroom

Sixty-four gigabytes of memory lets you keep large datasets, virtual machines or dozens of browser tabs open without swapping. The two-terabyte solid-state drive holds extensive project files and media libraries. Integrated graphics share system memory, so 3D workloads and heavy video editing will hit limits quickly.

Thermals and power in daily use

The 15.6-inch chassis measures 0.78 inches thick and weighs 3.50 pounds, giving the cooling system room to manage the 2.6GHz base and 4.4GHz turbo clocks. Fan noise stays low during office tasks and web browsing. Thunderbolt 4 ports handle charging and display output through a single cable.

Questions about this item

Will the Thunderbolt 4 ports on this Latitude 5520 drive my older USB 3.2 dock and HDMI 2.0 monitor without adapters?

Both Thunderbolt 4 ports support Power Delivery and DisplayPort, so they work with USB 3.2 devices and HDMI 2.0 displays through standard cables.

How can I confirm the Core i5-1145G7 is hitting its 4.4 GHz turbo and the 64 GB RAM is recognised after first boot?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab to see the CPU clock reach 4.4 GHz under load and 64 GB shown under Memory.

Does the box include the SmartCard reader and a Thunderbolt 4 cable, or must I buy them separately?

The SmartCard reader is an optional factory feature not included by default; a Thunderbolt 4 cable is not supplied, only the power adapter and documentation.
