An external SIM tray is available on configured units. Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth handle wireless links while the Noble wedge lock slot secures the chassis.

Pre-purchase checks

Verify that 8 GB soldered DDR4 meets your workload because the memory is not user-upgradeable on this configuration. Confirm the 512 GB M.2 primary plus 1 TB secondary storage layout matches your capacity needs. Questions about this item

Can the 8 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later if I need more capacity?

The system supports up to 32 GB DDR4, so the installed 8 GB can be replaced with higher-capacity modules.

What thermal limit appears first when the i7-8650U runs at its 4.20 GHz boost for extended periods?

The quad-core processor will hit its thermal ceiling and throttle clocks before the cooling solution can dissipate the sustained heat load.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the chassis feel during an all-day workload?

Under continuous load the fan spins up to an audible level and the bottom case becomes noticeably warm to the touch.
