Built for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 14.0 inch touchscreen ultrabook powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor running at 1.9 GHz with 32 GB of DDR4 memory. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on a dual-drive layout that pairs a 512 GB M.2 primary SSD with a 1 TB secondary SSD. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the 1920 x 1080 IPS panel.

Suits users who need touch input

The convertible screen and twin solid-state drives serve field staff, consultants and students who annotate documents on the move and keep full project libraries offline. Buyers who require discrete graphics performance for rendering or gaming should look at a different machine.

Dual SSD configuration decides fit

The 512 GB boot drive plus 1 TB secondary drive appear as separate volumes, so the buyer must confirm that two distinct solid-state partitions match their imaging or backup workflow before purchase.

Questions about this item

How does the 1.9 GHz base clock and 4.20 GHz boost of the i7-8650U feel in daily workloads?

The quad-core processor runs at 1.90 GHz base and can reach 4.20 GHz on short bursts, so office apps and browser tabs stay responsive while heavier tasks get a temporary speed lift.

What display output does the USB-C port actually support?

The USB Type-C connection carries DisplayPort video, letting you drive an external monitor without a separate dock.

Will the 14.8 by 9.87 inch footprint fit in a standard 15-inch laptop sleeve?

At 14.8 inches wide and 9.87 inches deep the chassis matches typical 15-inch sleeve dimensions, so it should slide in without forcing.
