Business ultraportable

The Latitude 7480 is a 14 inch laptop built around an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor, 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe solid-state drive. It ships with Windows 10 Home and a Full HD 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. The compact chassis suits mobile professionals who need reliable productivity performance away from a desk.

Thermals and efficiency

The low-power i7-6600U runs at a base frequency of 2.6 GHz, keeping heat output modest during typical office workloads and allowing the cooling system to remain quiet. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles everyday visual tasks without adding discrete GPU power draw, helping extend battery runtime on the move.

Connectivity and accessories

A Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port, HDMI output, three USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet and a microSD card reader cover monitors, docks and wired networks. Bluetooth 4.2 and 802.11ac Wi-Fi handle wireless peripherals and internet access. The box includes the laptop, charger and battery so the system is ready to deploy immediately.

Questions about this item

How is the 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD installed and what step is often missed?

The drive slides into the M.2 slot at an angle, then is secured with a single screw; forgetting that screw leaves the drive loose and unrecognised.

What maintenance or replacement will the 32GB DDR4 memory need later?

The memory is soldered and not user-replaceable; no future upgrade or module swap is possible.

What limit appears first on the Intel HD Graphics 520 during sustained heavy use?

Thermal throttling cuts GPU clocks once the shared cooling reaches its temperature ceiling.
