Professional 14-inch laptop

The Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14.0-inch business laptop built around a 6th generation Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.6 GHz. It comes with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB SATA M.2 SSD. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives a 1920 x 1080 non-touch FHD display. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed.

Durable chassis with Thunderbolt 3

The black chassis is designed for frequent travel and client meetings. A single USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port provides high-speed data and video expansion. One HDMI port connects directly to projectors or external displays. Three USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 handle everyday peripherals. A microSD card reader and integrated webcam complete the physical interface.

Dual-core processor for core business tasks

The i7-6600U delivers two cores and 4MB of L2 cache for standard office applications and light multitasking. Buyers who need more cores for heavy rendering, virtualization or modern gaming should look elsewhere. The 8GB memory and SATA M.2 storage are fixed at the listed capacities.

Questions about this item

What speed does the Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port actually deliver with the SATA M.2 SSD installed?

The port supports Thunderbolt 3 signalling, but the internal 512 GB SATA M.2 SSD runs at SATA speeds, so large file copies to external drives will not exceed the SATA link.

What clearance and screw pattern does the 14.0 inch chassis require for the M.2 drive?

The laptop uses a 2280-length M.2 slot with a single mounting screw; the drive sits flat under the bottom cover with no additional brackets needed.

How do you install Windows 11 on this unit that ships with Windows 10 Home, and what step is often missed?

Enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot in the BIOS, then run the Windows 11 Installation Assistant; skipping the BIOS settings causes the upgrade to fail.
