Dell Latitude 7490 14-inch business laptop

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14-inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8650U processor running at 1.90 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed. The anti-glare display offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input.

Suited to office work and light mobility

This configuration suits professionals who need a compact machine for document editing, web browsing and video calls. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 relies on shared system memory, so the laptop is not intended for gaming, 3D rendering or heavy video editing. Buyers who need discrete graphics or a dedicated GPU should look elsewhere.

Memory ceiling and storage headroom

Two memory slots are populated to 16 GB with a maximum supported capacity of 32 GB DDR4, giving room for a straightforward upgrade. The single 256 GB SSD provides fast boot and application loading, yet users with large media libraries or local databases will reach capacity quickly and require external storage.
