Target user

This Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14.0 inch business laptop running Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor at 2.60 GHz with 16 GB of memory and a 256 GB drive. It suits professionals who need a portable, managed device for office applications, web work and video calls.

Upgrade context

The configuration replaces older dual-core ultrabooks limited to 8 GB of memory or mechanical storage, and the jump is worth it when daily multitasking feels sluggish or the current machine cannot run Windows 11 Pro 64bit securely.

Installation notes

The unit ships with an AC power cord and battery installed, so first boot requires only plugging in and following the Windows setup screens; the main risk is overlooking the Grade B cosmetic flaws that do not affect operation but may surprise buyers expecting a pristine chassis.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0" chassis use the standard Latitude 7480 docking connector on the bottom?

Yes, the 7480 retains the E-family docking connector so existing Dell docks or port replicators will mate without an adapter.

Which screw secures the 256GB M.2 drive, and do I need to clone Windows 11 Pro before swapping it?

A single M2×3 mm screw holds the drive; clone the 64-bit OS first or use Dell OS Recovery media to reinstall Win11 Pro on the new module.

Is the 16GB memory soldered or socketed, and what is the maximum supported capacity?

The 16GB is soldered to the board and cannot be upgraded; the platform maximum remains 16GB.
