Core i5-5300U Business Notebook

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14-inch laptop built for everyday office work. It runs a 5th Generation Intel Core i5-5300U processor with 16 GB of DDR3L memory and a 500 GB SATA hard drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed. The HD LED display offers a 1366 x 768 resolution.

Suited For Document Work, Not Heavy Media

This machine fits users who need a reliable device for email, spreadsheets and web-based applications. Buyers who want faster application loading or quieter operation should look at models equipped with solid-state storage. The integrated graphics and HD panel limit suitability for colour-critical design or modern gaming.

500 GB Mechanical Drive Defines Responsiveness

The single specification that decides fit is the 2.5-inch 500 GB hard drive. It provides ample capacity for local files but delivers slower boot and load times than flash-based alternatives. If immediate responsiveness matters more than raw capacity, this configuration will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

Does the Intel Core i5-5300U with Turbo Boost 2.0 run hot or loud under constant load?

The 14.0" chassis uses integrated graphics and a 5th Gen U-series CPU; typical office workloads stay quiet, while sustained heavy tasks will spin the fan faster.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use the VGA and HDMI outputs on this Latitude 5450?

You need a standard VGA cable for legacy monitors or an HDMI cable for modern displays; the laptop provides both ports directly.

Will my existing DDR3L SODIMM modules work if I want to expand the 16 GB already installed?

The system uses DDR3L memory; any compatible DDR3L SODIMM can be added up to the board's maximum supported capacity.
