Business laptop for everyday tasks

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14-inch business laptop built around a 2.90 GHz Intel Core i7 dual-core processor. It ships with Windows 10 Home 64-bit ready to activate and 8 GB of DDR3 memory installed. The 500 GB SATA hard drive provides local storage for documents and applications. This unit suits office workers and students who need a reliable Windows machine for standard productivity.

Interface limits of the platform

The system uses DDR3 memory with two slots supporting a maximum of 16 GB, so upgrades beyond that ceiling are not possible. The 500 GB drive connects over a SATA interface, which caps transfer rates well below modern solid-state alternatives. Wireless connectivity relies on 802.11a/b/g, limiting network throughput to legacy Wi-Fi speeds. Only two USB ports are available for peripherals, and no Bluetooth hardware is present.

Capacity and headroom in practice

Eight gigabytes of RAM handles web browsing, office suites and light multitasking comfortably, though heavier workloads will push against the 16 GB ceiling. The 500 GB hard drive stores thousands of documents and media files, but large video libraries or modern game installations will fill it quickly. The 14-inch non-touch display offers adequate workspace for single-window tasks, while the dual-core processor manages routine business applications without strain.
