Dell Latitude E5450 14" business laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0 inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7 5th Gen processor running at 2.90 GHz. It comes with 16GB of DDR3 memory and a 500GB SATA hard drive. Windows 10 Home 64 Bit is pre-installed and ready to use.

Suits office workers needing a portable 14 inch

This laptop suits users who need a 14 inch non-touch display for document work and web browsing on Windows 10 Home. The 16GB DDR3 memory is fixed at the maximum supported capacity, so buyers who want more memory or faster SSD storage should look elsewhere. The 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN and two USB ports cover basic connectivity.

16GB DDR3 memory locked at maximum

The single specification that decides fit is the 16GB DDR3 memory installed across two slots with a 16 GB maximum supported limit. No further memory upgrades are possible beyond this configuration. The 500GB SATA hard drive provides storage but is not an SSD.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.90 GHz Intel Core i7 5th Gen processor throttle under sustained load?

The processor runs at 2.90 GHz base frequency and 16 GB DDR3 is the maximum supported memory, so performance ceiling is set by that configuration.

How loud or hot does the 14-inch Latitude E5450 get during all-day use?

The 14.0-inch non-touch chassis uses the standard business-class cooling design for the 2.80 GHz Intel Core i7 dual-core with 500 GB SATA drive installed.

What must I already own to use the 500 GB SATA drive and 16 GB DDR3 memory?

Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-installed and activated, so the laptop works immediately with the included power adapter and no extra components.
