Ready-to-use business laptop

The Dell Latitude E5520 ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit installed and a 15.6-inch HD+ LED display. An Intel Core i7 dual-core processor at 2.20 GHz and 16 GB of DDR3 memory handle office workloads. A 256 GB solid-state drive and a DVD-RW drive provide storage and optical media access.

Connectivity and expansion built in

Integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics drive the internal panel and external monitors through VGA and HDMI outputs. Gigabit Ethernet and Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 wireless give wired and wireless network options. A built-in card reader and webcam support peripheral and conferencing needs without extra dongles.

Steady performance for long sessions

The HM65 Express chipset and Trusted Platform Module security chip operate within the laptop’s standard thermal design. Integrated graphics share system memory, so sustained multitasking stays consistent without discrete GPU throttling. The SSD keeps boot and application load times stable across extended work periods.

Questions about this item

Will the dual-core 2.20 GHz i7 throttle under sustained load?

The Intel Core i7 2nd Gen has a 6 MB L3 cache and dual-core design; sustained heavy workloads will hit its thermal ceiling before the 16 GB DDR3 or 256 GB SSD become bottlenecks.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when left running all day?

Integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics and a 2.5" 256 GB SSD produce modest heat; the HM65 chipset and DVD-RW add some load, but the 15.6" LED panel and standard fan keep noise at typical office levels.

What cables or peripherals must I already own to use the video outputs?

The laptop provides VGA and HDMI ports; you need a VGA or HDMI cable and an external monitor or projector that accepts one of those inputs.
