15.6″ HD+ Laptop for Office Work

The Dell Latitude E5520 is a 15.6-inch business notebook with an Intel Core i7 dual-core processor at 2.20 GHz and 8 GB of DDR3 memory. It runs Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and includes a 256 GB solid-state drive plus a DVD-RW optical drive. The HD+ LED-backlit display and integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics suit general productivity and web use.

Check Ports, Memory Ceiling and OS Needs

Verify that your peripherals match the available VGA and HDMI video outputs and the Gigabit Ethernet jack for wired networking. The system uses DDR3 memory with a 16 GB maximum capacity, so plan any upgrade within that limit. Ensure your software licences are compatible with the pre-installed Windows 10 Pro 64-bit environment before deployment.

Fits Standard Business Docking Setups

The chassis provides VGA, HDMI, USB ports, a card reader and a Trusted Platform Module security chip for managed environments. Integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth handle wireless connectivity while the 2.5-inch SSD bay allows straightforward storage replacement. The included DVD-RW drive frees you from carrying an external optical unit for legacy media.

Questions about this item

Does the Dell Latitude E5520 include a DVD-RW drive and Windows 10 Pro, or must I buy them separately?

The laptop ships with a built-in DVD-RW optical drive and Windows 10 Professional 64-bit pre-installed, so no separate purchase is needed for either.

Should I choose the Core i7 2.20 GHz dual-core model with 8 GB DDR3 and 256 GB SSD, or is there a 16 GB RAM option for this unit?

This configuration has the Core i7 2.20 GHz dual-core CPU, 8 GB DDR3 memory and a 256 GB SSD; the 16 GB maximum refers to a different listing, not this specific unit.

How does the Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics perform on the 15.6 in HD LED display for daily office work?

The Intel HD 3000 drives the 15.6 in HD backlit LED panel smoothly for documents, web browsing and video playback, but it is not suited for modern gaming or heavy 3D tasks.
