Business-ready 14" laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14-inch business notebook powered by a 5th generation Intel Core i5-5300U processor. It comes with 8 GB of DDR3L memory and a 256 GB SATA solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed, and the chassis includes a DVD-RW drive, VGA and HDMI outputs, and a built-in webcam.

Suits mobile office work; not for heavy graphics

This configuration suits professionals who need a lightweight Windows 10 machine for document editing, email, and web-based applications. The integrated graphics and HD-resolution panel limit its usefulness for video editing, 3D rendering, or modern gaming. Buyers who require a touchscreen, a higher-resolution display, or discrete graphics should consider other models.

1366 x 768 HD LED display

The 14.0-inch LED-backlit panel delivers a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels in a non-touch format. This screen size and resolution define the available workspace for side-by-side windows and the clarity of text and images. Users needing more screen real estate or sharper visuals will need a different display specification.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0" 1366 x 768 HD LED display need any external adapter to run at its native resolution?

No, the integrated graphics drive the 14.0" HD LED panel at 1366 x 768 without an extra adapter.

Will the VGA and HDMI outputs on the Latitude E5450 drive a legacy 1366 x 768 monitor without scaling issues?

Yes, both VGA and HDMI ports support 1366 x 768 natively, so an older monitor will display correctly.

How can I confirm the 256 GB SATA SSD and 8 GB DDR3L RAM are recognised after first boot?

Open Settings > System > About to see 8 GB DDR3L installed RAM, and check Disk Management for a 256 GB SATA drive.
