Dell Latitude E6430s 14" i7-3720QM Windows 10 Pro

The Dell Latitude E6430s is a 14.0-inch business laptop powered by a 3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3720QM quad-core processor running at 2.60 GHz. It comes with 8 GB of DDR3 memory and a 500 GB 2.5-inch hard drive. Windows 10 Professional 64-bit is pre-installed with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Best for office work and legacy software.

This configuration suits professionals who need a durable chassis, TPM security, and native Windows 10 Pro for legacy applications. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 1366 x 768 display limit its use for modern gaming, video editing, or colour-critical design work. Buyers who want more storage, a higher resolution screen, or discrete graphics should look at other models.

Quad-core i7-3720QM with integrated graphics

The single specification that decides fit is the Intel Core i7-3720QM quad-core CPU paired with Intel HD Graphics 4000. This combination delivers solid multi-threaded performance for office multitasking and older software but cannot accelerate modern 3D workloads. If your workflow depends on GPU compute or dedicated video memory, this processor and graphics pairing will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the i7-3720QM quad-core or an i5 dual-core for this Latitude E6430s?

The i7-3720QM provides four cores at 2.60 GHz, while an i5 dual-core has two; pick the quad-core if you run multiple heavy programs at once.

What does the 2.60 GHz quad-core speed mean once Windows 10 Pro is running?

You get four processing threads at 2.60 GHz each, so background updates and foreground apps share the CPU without one task stalling the other.

The HDMI Mini and VGA ports — what external resolution do they actually support?

Both ports are driven by Intel HD Graphics 4000 and can output up to 1366 x 768 on an external monitor, matching the built-in panel’s native resolution.
