Compact Mini Tower for Home and Office

The Dell OptiPlex 9010 Mini Tower is a new desktop computer aimed at students and home-office users. It ships with a 64-bit quad-core Intel Core i5-3470 processor running at 3.20 GHz with a 3.60 GHz turbo boost. The system includes 16 GB of DDR3 memory and a 2.5-inch 1 TB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Build Integration and Expansion

The mini-tower chassis houses the motherboard, a DVD±RW optical drive and the included 2.5-inch SSD. Integrated Gigabit Ethernet provides wired network connectivity while a USB wireless dongle adds Wi-Fi capability. A USB keyboard and USB mouse are bundled so the system is ready to use once a monitor is connected. The form factor leaves internal space for additional drives or cards if the board provides suitable slots.

Included Accessories and Software Impact

The supplied keyboard and mouse remove the need to purchase separate input devices for immediate productivity. Pre-installed Windows 10 Pro delivers business-oriented features such as domain join and BitLocker without extra setup. The DVD±RW drive allows reading and writing legacy optical media for software installation or data archiving. The USB wireless dongle enables cable-free network access where Ethernet cabling is impractical.
