Dell OptiPlex 990 Mini Tower

The Dell OptiPlex 990 Mini Tower is a desktop computer built around an Intel 2nd Gen i7-2600 processor with 16 GB of DDR3 RAM. It ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit installed and includes a USB keyboard and mouse. This configuration suits students and home-office workers who need a ready-to-use system for everyday productivity tasks.

Build and connectivity

The mini-tower chassis houses a 265 W power supply, a 16X DVD±RW drive, and integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000 alongside a Sound card and Gigabit Ethernet. Storage combines a 2.5-inch 512 GB solid-state drive with a 3.5-inch 2 TB hard drive, giving both fast boot performance and high-capacity file space. WiFi is also included for wireless network access. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card or additional internal drive bays should verify compatibility before purchase.

Bundled peripherals and software

A USB keyboard and USB mouse are supplied in the box, removing the need for separate input-device purchases. Windows 10 Pro arrives pre-installed and activated, so the system is operational immediately after unboxing. The DVD±RW drive adds the ability to read and write optical media for software installation or data archiving. Users who prefer a different operating system or specialised peripherals will need to provide their own.
