Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C connectivity

Two Thunderbolt 3 ports and two USB-C 3.1 ports provide video output, charging and data transfer through a single cable type. An HDMI 2.0 port adds a direct display link, while the 65 watt AC adapter powers the system and charges peripherals via PowerShare.

Questions about this item

Will the 16 GB DDR4 limit how many virtual machines I can run simultaneously?

The system ships with 16 GB DDR4 and the specification lists zero available memory slots, so the 16 GB total cannot be increased.

Does the 65-watt AC adapter keep up with the i7-8706G and Radeon Pro WX Vega M GL during long rendering sessions?

The included 65-watt adapter powers the quad-core i7-8706G and 4 GB GDDR5 Radeon graphics; sustained heavy loads may draw more than the adapter supplies.

Which docks or monitors can I connect through the two Thunderbolt 3 ports?

Both USB-C ports support Thunderbolt 3 with PowerShare, DC-In and DisplayPort, allowing compatible docks, external GPUs or 4K displays at 3840 x 2160.
