Lightning OTG adapter for USB-C audio and data

This three-pack of MFi-certified adapters converts a USB-C accessory into a Lightning plug for iPhone and iPad. It enables audio playback from USB-C wired earphones and file transfer from USB-C storage, card readers or cameras. The direct-plug alloy and ABS dongle weighs .009 kilograms and includes a lanyard hole for daily carry.

Upgrade from a cable-based dongle or missing port

The one-piece design removes cable clutter and replaces bulky gender changers when you need to connect USB-C headphones, flash drives, keyboards or mice to a Lightning device. The jump is worth it if you want reliable OTG file management in the Files app and charge-through capability without a separate power brick.

Check your device and accessory compatibility

Confirm your iPhone or iPad has a Lightning port and runs iOS 13 or later for OTG support. Note that the adapter does not support microphone calls on USB-C earphones and will not work with Bluetooth headphones. Ensure the USB-C peripheral you plan to use is a wired audio, storage, card reader, keyboard or mouse device.

Questions about this item

Does the adapter need a cable to connect a USB-C flash drive?

No cable is required; the one-piece dongle plugs directly into the Lightning port and presents a USB-C female socket for the flash drive.

What iOS version is required for OTG file transfers to work?

OTG file transfers need iOS 13 or later; the Files app will then recognise the connected USB-C storage device.

Will the lanyard hole wear out if I keep it on a keychain?

The alloy and ABS body is built for daily carry; the side hole is reinforced to resist wear from a lanyard or key ring.
