A 100 A, three-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 600 V AC and 250 V DC with a 65 kA interrupting capacity at 600 V AC, thermal-magnetic trip adjustable from 23 A to 84.5 A.
The Eaton HMCP100R3C is a moulded-case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current at 600 V AC and 250 V DC. It uses a thermal-magnetic trip unit with fixed instantaneous settings to protect three-phase motor circuits in industrial control panels. The frame size is 250 A and the interrupting rating reaches 65 kA at 600 V AC.
The breaker provides a low amp trip setting of 23 A and a high amp trip setting of 84.5 A, allowing the installer to match the instantaneous pickup to Eaton or Rockwell motor starters without additional accessories. This range simplifies selective coordination in multi-starter installations and reduces nuisance tripping during motor inrush.
The device handles full-load motor currents up to 100 A in free-standing mounting configurations. Its 65 kA interrupting capacity covers most 600 V distribution systems, while the 250 A frame provides mechanical headroom for future uprating within the same enclosure footprint. Applications requiring higher continuous current or adjustable instantaneous settings will need a different frame or trip unit.

The instantaneous trip is fixed at 84.5 A high setting and 23 A low setting, so the breaker will open at those currents without adjustment.
The breaker carries a 65 kA AIR rating at 600 V AC, meaning it can clear faults up to that level without damage.
The thermal-magnetic trip unit is calibrated for 100 A continuous current in a 250 A frame, so heat rise stays within the frame's design limits during all-day operation.
