Edifier R1280DB Bluetooth bookshelf speakers

The Edifier R1280DB are powered bookshelf speakers with Bluetooth, optical and coaxial inputs alongside traditional RCA connections. They suit desktop listeners, TV viewers or turntable owners who want a single compact system for multiple sources.

Sustained listening performance

The side-panel EQ knobs let you adjust bass and treble during long sessions without reaching for a remote. Built-in amplification delivers consistent output for music, films or gaming without the distortion that can appear in smaller portable units.

Upgrade path and value

These speakers replace older stereo pairs that lack digital or wireless inputs, removing the need for a separate DAC or Bluetooth adapter. The jump is worthwhile when you want HD audio from a TV or streamer while keeping analogue flexibility for legacy gear.

Questions about this item

How much heat or fan noise does the R1280DB produce when left on all day?

The active speaker runs its built-in amplifier continuously, but the unit has no fan and stays cool to the touch during extended use.

What source outputs and cables must I already own to connect the R1280DB?

You need a device with optical, coaxial, RCA or Bluetooth output and the matching cable for the wired option you choose.

Will the R1280DB work alongside my older turntable that only has RCA outputs?

Yes, the speakers retain RCA inputs so you can plug the turntable directly using the included cables.
