Adds two eSATAp ports via internal SATA and USB 2.0 headers with 12V/5V power output
This EN-Labs adapter converts two internal SATA connections into external eSATAp ports using a full-profile bracket. It targets desktop builders who need to connect eSATA or USB 2.0 storage devices outside the case without adding a controller card.
Each eSATAp port supplies 12V and 5V power for 2.5 or 3.5 drives, but the included SATA 15-pin to 4-pin cable must be connected to the power supply. USB 2.0 data up to 480 Mbps only works when the 30 cm 9-pin header cable is linked to a motherboard USB header.
The adapter provides no storage bandwidth of its own; it simply passes signals from two host SATA ports. Without two separate SATA cables (not included) running from the motherboard or controller to the card, neither eSATAp port can function.

This model provides two eSATAp ports from a single bracket, letting you connect two external drives simultaneously; a single-port card would only support one.
That is the maximum USB 2.0 data rate available through the 9-pin header connection; actual throughput will be lower due to protocol overhead.
The port combines eSATA and USB 2.0; eSATA speed depends on the host controller, while USB traffic is capped at 480 Mbps.
