Extends a 12V ATX CPU power connector by 8 inches using 18AWG tinned copper wire with secure male-to-female latching connectors
The EN-Labs ATXP4EX8 is an 8-inch ATX P4 4-pin extension cable that lengthens the 12 V CPU power connection between a power supply and a motherboard. It uses 18AWG tinned-copper conductors and features a male 4-pin P4 connector on one end and a matching female 4-pin P4 connector with latches on the other. The cable is intended for builders who need extra reach when routing the CPU power lead in a bottom-mount case.
This extender works for anyone extending a standard 4-pin ATX 12 V CPU power cable in a desktop build. It is not usable for 8-pin EPS12V motherboard headers, PCIe graphics power connectors or any other power interface that requires more than four pins.
The 8-inch length and 18AWG tinned-copper conductors are the key specifications that determine whether the cable reaches the motherboard socket and carries the required current reliably.

The cable is 8 inches long and uses 18AWG tinned copper conductors, so it needs a clear path of roughly that length between the PSU and the CPU power socket.
Push each connector straight in until the latch clicks; the male plug goes to the PSU and the female socket receives the motherboard header.
Replace it if the 18AWG tinned copper wires fray, insulation cracks, or the latch tabs no longer hold the connectors firmly.
