EnLabs adapter adds an M-key NVME SSD in 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 form factor to a PCIe 3.0 x4, x8 or x16 slot with a full-profile bracket and status LEDs
This PCIe adapter adds one M-key M.2 NVMe SSD to a desktop computer running Windows 10, 8.x or 7. It accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors through multiple mounting holes. A full-profile bracket is included for standard chassis installation. MacBook systems are not supported.
Verify the board has a free PCIe 1.0, 2.0 or 3.0 x4, x8 or x16 slot. The adapter only works with M-key NVMe drives; B-key PCIe or SATA M.2 SSDs are not compatible. Systems released before 2015 may lack NVMe boot support, so confirm with the system vendor. No driver is required for the adapter itself.
The card has no active cooling and relies on case airflow to dissipate heat from the installed SSD. Built-in LEDs show power and data-transfer status. Power consumption is limited to the SSD and the passive bridge circuitry, adding minimal load to the motherboard slot.

The adapter only provides the PCIe x4 slot and mounting holes for 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 M-key NVMe drives; the SSD itself is not included and must be bought separately.
The card has multiple mounting holes for 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths; choose the length that matches your M-key NVMe SSD — 2280 is the most common desktop size.
The adapter connects the M.2 NVMe drive through a PCIe 3.0 x4 link, which is backward compatible with PCIe 2.0 and 1.0 slots, so the drive will run at up to PCIe 3.0 x4 speeds if the motherboard slot supports it.
