Connects 2.5 or 3.5 inch SATA and IDE drives to USB 3.0 with 5 Gbps transfer and 12 V power included
This USB 3.0 to SATA IDE adapter connects any standard 2.5in or 3.5in SATA or IDE hard drive to a computer through an available USB 3.0 port. It also supports optical drives such as DVD-ROM, CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-RW, and DVD+RW. The device works with Windows 10, 8, 8.1, 7, Vista, XP, Mac OS, Linux, and Chrome OS.
The adapter replaces the need for spare internal drive bays or a dedicated docking station when accessing legacy IDE drives or SATA drives externally. The jump is worth it when you need to retrieve data from older 40-pin or 44-pin IDE hard disks without installing them inside a chassis. A 12V DC power supply is included for 3.5in devices.
The USB 3.0 interface delivers data transfer rates up to 5Gb/s, which is 10 times faster than USB 2.0, and remains backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1. The unit supports drives with a capacity of up to 6TB and can access two drives simultaneously for duplication or backup tasks. An LED indicator shows power and activity status during sustained operations.

Yes, a 12V 2A DC power adapter is included in the package for powering 3.5 inch SATA or IDE hard drives.
Plug each drive into its matching IDE connector on the adapter, attach the power supply, then connect the USB 3.0 cable to the computer; both drives will appear simultaneously.
The USB 3.0 cable is detachable, so it can be swapped for a standard USB 3.0 Type-A cable if it becomes damaged.
