Extracts 7.1-channel HDMI audio plus 5.1-channel optical, coaxial and 3.5 mm outputs while passing 8K 60 Hz or 4K 120 Hz video at 48 Gbps
The ESTONE OZ8V1 is an HDMI 2.1 audio extractor that takes one HDMI input and provides one HDMI output plus four separate audio outputs. It is built for users who need to send video to a display while routing multichannel sound to a soundbar, AV receiver or powered speakers. Gamers on PS5 or Xbox Series X, home-cinema owners with Dolby Atmos systems and anyone running 8K 60 Hz or 4K 120 Hz sources will find the 48 Gbps bandwidth and 7.1-channel HDMI audio path match their requirements.
The unit ships with a 5 V 1 A DC power adapter, an IR remote and a short manual; connect the supply first, then link source and display with certified ultra-high-speed HDMI cables. Select the desired EDID mode via the remote before powering the source to avoid handshake failures at 4K 120 Hz or 8K 60 Hz. A common issue is using cables rated below 48 Gbps, which causes signal drop-out or loss of HDR metadata; another is forgetting that the Toslink and coaxial ports only carry up to 5.1 channels while the HDMI audio port carries 7.1.
Verify that your source device outputs HDMI 2.1 with HDCP 2.3 or 2.2 and that your display accepts the same standard; the extractor passes CEC, VRR, Dynamic HDR and Dolby Vision transparently. Confirm your audio gear has either a Toslink, coaxial, 3.5 mm stereo or HDMI audio input — the extractor does not convert formats, it only de-embeds what the source sends. Ensure you have a free mains socket for the included 5 V adapter; the box does not draw power from the HDMI line.
