HDMI 2.0b 4K 60Hz Audio Extractor

The ESTONE OZV8E is a compact HDMI audio extractor that takes a single HDMI input and provides one HDMI loop-through output plus four separate audio outputs. It is built for gamers and home-theatre users who need to send 4K video to a display while routing multichannel sound to a receiver, soundbar or headphones that lack HDMI inputs.

18 Gbps bandwidth with HDCP 2.3

The single specification that decides compatibility is the 18 Gbps HDMI 2.0b path with HDCP 2.3 support. It passes 4K at 60 Hz and 10-bit HDR without downscaling, so any source and sink that operate within that bandwidth will work. Sources that require higher bandwidth or newer HDCP versions will not be supported.

7.1-channel extraction with format toggle

The extractor decodes up to 7.1-channel LPCM, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X on the HDMI audio-only port, while Toslink, coaxial and 3.5 mm outputs carry up to 5.1-channel LPCM, Dolby Digital and DTS. A four-position switch selects TV, 2.0, 5.1 or 7.1 output mode. It cannot extract audio from signals exceeding 18 Gbps or from HDCP 2.3 streams that block audio splitting.

Questions about this item

What does the 18 Gbps bandwidth mean when this extractor is connected to a 4K 60 Hz source?

It carries the full 4K 60 Hz signal with 10-bit HDR and eARC audio without compression or frame-rate loss.

How does the HDMI 2.0b interface limit the audio formats I can send through the optical or coaxial outputs?

The HDMI 2.0b input accepts Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, but the Toslink and coaxial ports downmix to LPCM 2.0/5.1 or core Dolby/DTS 5.1 only.

What physical space and power do I need to mount the OZV8E in a media cabinet?

The unit measures 5.59 x 3.15 x 1.26 inches, weighs 3.2 ounces, and requires the included 5 V 1000 mA DC adapter.
