What this splitter does

The LUOM HW-HD1080P takes a single HDMI source and mirrors it across eight HDMI displays at the same time. It supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 and handles 3D video formats. The unit is HDCP compliant and works with common sources such as PCs, game consoles, Blu-ray players and streaming sticks.

Signal quality over distance

The splitter amplifies and buffers the incoming signal so each of the eight outputs stays identical to the input without degradation. It operates at 2.25 Gbps bandwidth with 255 MHz per channel and supports Deep Color video modes including 480i, 576i, 720p and 1080i. Audio formats up to LPCM 7.1, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio pass through unchanged.

Check your cables and sources

Verify that your source device and all eight displays use standard HDMI connectors compatible with the 1.3b specification. The included adapter provides power for the amplification stage. This splitter only duplicates one signal to many screens; it cannot switch between different sources or extend a desktop across multiple monitors.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the HW-HD1080P produce when running continuously?

The unit is passively cooled with no fan, so it generates no audible noise and only modest warmth during all-day operation.

What cables or adapters must I already have to use the 1x8 splitter?

You need one HDMI cable from your source to the input and up to eight HDMI cables from the outputs to your displays; the included power adapter connects to the splitter's DC jack.

Will the HW-HD1080P work with my older 720p or 1080i displays alongside newer 1080p screens?

Yes — the splitter duplicates the input signal to all eight outputs simultaneously and supports 480i, 576i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p, so mixed-resolution displays show the same image at their native capability.
