It is aimed at users who need many simultaneous connections for external drives, peripherals or media transfers. The board fits x1, x4, x8 or x16 slots and works with 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 through 11 as well as Linux. Mac OS 10.8.2 and above is also supported.

Check slot type and driver needs

Verify that the motherboard has a free PCI Express slot; the card will not fit legacy PCI slots. Windows 8, 10 and 11 load the driver automatically, while Windows 7 and XP require a manual install from the included CD or a download. Independent port power and solid capacitors

A two-phase power module feeds each port separately, letting all seven ports run at 5 V 2 A without an auxiliary cable.
