ESTONE SONGFUL M2 3.5 mm Audio Splitter 2-Pack Gray

Splitter for shared listening

The ESTONE SONGFUL M2 3.5 mm audio splitter lets two headphones connect to one source. A single male plug feeds two female ports so two people can hear the same audio from a phone, tablet or laptop. The 5 in cable keeps the connection tidy for desk or portable use. Gray metal-shell connectors fit through most device cases without removal.

CTIA wiring and device support

The cable follows the CTIA standard so the microphone contact on a headset remains active through both outputs. It is tested with iPhone 6 and 6s series, Samsung Galaxy S6, S7 and A-series models, LG G4, G5, V10 and MIUI devices. Other phones using the same pinout will work, but headsets wired to the older OMTP layout will not pass microphone audio.

Limits of a passive Y-cable

Splitting the signal reduces the voltage each headphone receives, so very high-impedance cans may play quieter than when driven directly. The adapter adds no amplification and cannot drive more than two loads. Users needing independent volume controls, more than two outputs or a longer reach will require a powered distribution amplifier instead.
